Новая коллекция Balenciaga, созданная талантливым дизайнером Александром Вонгом, который в данный момент возглавляет модный дом. Его инновационные способы трансформации истории бренда на современный лад дали по-настоящему свежее дыхание модному дому. Вопрос в том, как ему удается играть с трехмерными формами, тяжелыми молниями (по крайней мере, они выглядят тяжелыми), различными методами деконструкции и в то же сохранять женственность и элегантность в образах. Волшебным способом вещи остаются простыми и носибельными. Не могу дождаться, когда коллекция поступит в магазины. Она однозначно достойна внимания.


The new collection of Balenciaga created by a talented designer Alexander Wang, who's currently a head designer of this brand. His inventive methods of reworking the brand's history in a modern way have given a fresh breath to a famous fashion house. The question is how he manages to play with three-dimensional shapes, heavy (or at least they look like heavy ones) zippers, various deconstruction methods and at the same time to preserve femininity and elegance in the looks. The magic is that garments remain simple and wearable. Can't wait to see this collection in stores. It's definitely worth checking out.

Недавно, я наткнулась на любопытное видео. Фанатов бренда T by Alexander Wang пригласили на закрытое мероприятие, неразглашая ничего, кроме времени и места. 

"Когда откроется дверь, вы получите доступ к коллекции T by Alexander Wang. Женская одежда, мужская, кое-что из старого, кое-что из нового, кое-что из классики. И, между прочим, все это бесплатно. Возьмите столько, сколько сможете унести. " - сказал дизайнер толпе из своего видео-обращения. 

А дальше началось настоящее сумасшествие...


Recently, I ran into a curious video. The fans of the brand T by Alexander Wang were invited to an "undisclosed one-time only" event.  They were told nothing but time and place.

"When the door opens you're going to have access to the T by Alexander Wang collection. There's stuff for girls, stuff for guys, some older stuff, some new stuff, some classics. And by the way, everything is free. Take as much as you physically can." - said the designer to the crowd from his projected video message.

And then a real madness started...

Trend Report: Leather

Один из ключевых трендов сезона осень-зима 2012-2013 - кожа. Так как я ярый противник использования натуральной кожи, предлагаю ее заменить другими материалами, благо, на сегодняшний день научились изготавливать ткани, которые довольно сложно отличить от настоящей кожи. Плюс, дизайнеры со мной согласятся, работать с заменителем кожи намного легче, не нужно подстраивать крой вещи под имеющийся кусок кожи, отделка проще, соответсвенно и производство в целом дешевле. А из этого выплывает и финальная стоимость вещи, которая будет на порядок доступнее. Я очень хочу верить, что когда-нибудь перестанет быть модно носить на себе трупы животных. Это уж точно, не тот пример, которому нужно следовать.

 One of the key trends for F/W 2012-2013 is leather. As I am an ardent opponent of natural leather usage, I suggest to replace it with other materials. Luckily, people learned how to produce fabrics that are quite hard to distinguish from the real leather. A plus, designers will agree with me, it's a way easier to work with a fake leather. You don't need to adapt  your cloth pattern cut to a piece of leather you have, finishings are easier, and relatively the whole production costs less. From this comes up that the final cost of a cloth will be way more available. I truly want to believe that one day wearing dead animal bodies will be out of fashion. This is definitely not an example worth following.

Еще две интересных коллекции, привлекли меня своим необычным кроем.

Ключевые слова у Philip Lim - сложный крой, функциональность и, в то же время, носибельность. Несмотря на непривычный крой, вещи не смотрятся вычурно, так как нету нагромождения в силуэтах и обилия мелких деталей. Образы выглядят чисто и вполне лаконично.

Two more collections that have attracted my attention with their unusual cut.

The key words in Philim Lim's collection are the complicated cut, the functionality and, at the same time, the wearability. Despite the unusual cut, garments don't look fussy, because silhouettes don't seem to be heavy and there is no loads of small details. The outfits look clean and quite concisely.
