Я конечно не хочу никого обидеть, но не могу не отметить столь явное сходство недавнего показа Chanel в Париже и показа коллекции Jean Gritsfeldt в Киеве. Также, двоякое чувство вызвали головные уборы из перьев, которые сложно забыть после фееричного показа Louis Vuitton в прошлом сезоне. Хотя, возможно, речь идет о своеобразном пиар-ходе, ведь разговоры о плагиате лучше, чем вообще никаких разговоров...

I am not willing to offend anyone, but I must admit such an obvious resemblance of the recent Chanel fashion show in Paris and Jean Gritsfeldt fashion show in Kiev. The mixed feelings were also evoked by the feather head pieces, which were hard to forget after the breathtaking fashion show of Louis Vuitton last season. However, this might be some sort of PR-move, because the talks about plagiarism are better than no talks at all...

Расставив в очередной раз последние акценты в трендах следующего сезона, Парижская неделя моды завершила череду модных недель большой четверки. Это сплошное удовольствие пересматривать показы, когда коллекции настолько разнообразны. Помимо различных фасонов, техник кроя, необычной фактуры и элементов, впечатляет еще и палитра цветов. Вот уж не ожидала увидеть у консервативных французов столь красочные образы для осенне-зимнего сезона. 
Жизнь слишком коротка, чтобы носить скучную одежду, но с такими коллекциями скучно точно не будет! :)

Having put all the last accents in the trends of the next season, Paris fashion week has closed the fashion weeks of the big four. It's an entire pleasure to watch the shows when collections are so diverse. Along with various styles, pattern cuts, unusual textures and elements, the color palette was also impressive. I was not expecting the conservative frenchmen to present such colorful looks, especially for the fall-winter season. Life is too short to wear boring clothes, but these collections won't let you get bored! :)

Модный дом Chanel всегда вызывал мои эмоции и восхищения. То, как Karl Lagerfeld заботится о Chanel во всех смыслах гениально. В этот раз гости показа оказались посреди самого настоящего супермаркета. Это звучит безумно, но команде Chanel удалось превратить Grand Palais, где проходил показ, в огромный супермаркет, который в свою очередь являлся подиумом. Полки супермаркета были полностью заставлены различными товарами, если поточнее, было представлено 500 видов товаров, которые были перепакованы и брендированы. Приглашенные гости и модели превратились в проходящих мимо касс и полок, заставленных товарами, покупателей.

Мне кажется, этим невероятным представлением Карл хотел приблизить Chanel к людям, показав свои творения в самом обычном для каждого из нас месте. Супермаркет в данном случае служит мостом между реальной жизнью и подиумом.

Fashion house Chanel has been always evoking my deepest emotions and admirations. The way Karl Lagerfeld takes care of Chanel is undeniably genius. This time the guests of the fashion show have found themselves standing in the middle of a real supermarket. That sounds insane, but Chanel team managed to turn Grand Palais, where the show was hosted, into a huge supermarket, which at the same time was a catwalk. The supermarket shelves were fully stocked with various products, 500 to be exact, that had been repackaged and labeled. The invitees and the models became the customers, passing through the checkout counters and the aisles. 

I consider this amazing performance to be Karl's personal way to bring Chanel closer to people by putting his creations in an ordinary for any of us place. Supermarket in this case serves as a bridge between the real life and the runway.

Новая коллекция Balenciaga, созданная талантливым дизайнером Александром Вонгом, который в данный момент возглавляет модный дом. Его инновационные способы трансформации истории бренда на современный лад дали по-настоящему свежее дыхание модному дому. Вопрос в том, как ему удается играть с трехмерными формами, тяжелыми молниями (по крайней мере, они выглядят тяжелыми), различными методами деконструкции и в то же сохранять женственность и элегантность в образах. Волшебным способом вещи остаются простыми и носибельными. Не могу дождаться, когда коллекция поступит в магазины. Она однозначно достойна внимания.


The new collection of Balenciaga created by a talented designer Alexander Wang, who's currently a head designer of this brand. His inventive methods of reworking the brand's history in a modern way have given a fresh breath to a famous fashion house. The question is how he manages to play with three-dimensional shapes, heavy (or at least they look like heavy ones) zippers, various deconstruction methods and at the same time to preserve femininity and elegance in the looks. The magic is that garments remain simple and wearable. Can't wait to see this collection in stores. It's definitely worth checking out.

Вдохновляемся самыми яркими акцентами с подиумов модных столиц: Парижа, Милана, Лондона и Нью-Йорка. Это мода следующего сезона, или скорее то, как ее видят дизайнеры. А вот, что действительно приживется и станет неоспоримым трендом, мы узнаем уже через несколько месяцев, когда новые коллекции начнут поступать в магазины, а модницы начнут адаптировать обновки в свои повседневные образы.

Get inspired with the highlights straight from the fashion capitals' runways: Paris, Milan, London and New-York. This is the fashion of the next season, or at least how the designers see it. What will find its place in our wardrobes and what will become an undeniable trend, we will figure out in a few months, when the first collections are delivered in the stores and the fashionistas start adapting the novelties in their daily looks.

На всякий случай, напомню, "большая четверка" - это четыре лидирующие модные столицы: Нью-Йорк, Лондон, Милан и Париж. Самое интересное, красивое и вдохновляющие я собрала здесь.

While I am sorting and processing the photos from Ukrainian fashion week I suggest you to get some inspiration from the fashion marathon of "the big four", which finished less than a month ago. Just in case, I'll remind that the "big four" means  four prominent fashion capitals: New-York, London, Milan and Paris. The most interesting, beautiful and inspiring I've gathered here.

Что для вас значит Haute Couture? Для меня это момент, когда невероятный полет фантазии соединяется с непревзойденным дизайнерским мастерством. Одевая наряд Haute Couture чувствуешь, что выходишь за рамки обыденности и наслаждаешься красотой одетого на тебя произведения искусства.

В этом посте я собрала подборку нарядов и фотографий с минувшей недели Haute Couture в Париже, которая прошла с 30 июня по 5 июля и продемонстрировала коллекции сезона осень/зима 2013-2014.

What is Haute Couture for you? For me it's the moment when an incredible flight of imagination unites with an inimitable designer's craftsmanship. When you put on an Haute Couture outfit you feel that you are pushing the envelope and simply enjoy the beauty of a masterpiece you are wearing. 

In this post I've gathered a selection of outfits and photos from the past Haute Couture fashion week in Paris that took place from June 30th to July 5th and has demonstrated the collections of fall/winter 2013-2014 season.

Париж был последний по списку и показал нам свое видение сезона весна/лето 2013.
Должна сказать, что в этот раз было много интересных, ярких и красочных коллекций, что, в принципе, нетипично для сдержанных и консервативных французов. Их любимая серость и многослойность были представлены в минимальном количестве.

The fashion weeks of "a big fashion four" are over.
Paris was the last one on the list and showed us its vision of S/S 2013 season. I must admit, that this time, there were a lot of interesting, bright and colorful collections,which is generally untypical, for insular and conservative french people. Their beloved greyness and layering were presented in the least possible amount.

По-настоящему шикарную коллекцию представил нам Balmain. Геометрические формы, в сочетании со средневековыми орнаментами, плюс, богатые ткани, бархат, жемчуг, золото -  действительно видна кропотливая работа. Дизайнеру дома, Oliver Rousteig, удалось создать сбалансированные силуэты, используя основной акцент только на верхней части образа. За счет этого, обильные вышивки не смотрятся громоздко. Помню красивые, расшитые золотом, пиджаки из прошлого сезона, свиду смотрелись элегантно и изящно, подвох заключался исключительно в их весе. Надеюсь в этом сезоне дизайнер не допустил ту же ошибку. Но это мы узнаем только, когда коллекция поступит в продажу...

A really chic collection has presented Balmain. Geometric shapes in combination with medieval ornaments, in addition to rich fabrics, velvet, pearls, gold - we see a very scrupulous work. Oliver Rousteig, designer of Balmain, has managed to create balanced silhouettes, by putting the main impact only on the upper part of the look. Thanks to this, intense embroideries don't look heavy. I remember beautiful, embroidered with gold, jackets from the previous season, that looked from the first sight elegant and refined, the only trick was their weight. I hope this season designer hasn't made the same mistake. But this we will know only when collection arrives in stores...

Интересный выбор темы в коллекции Chanel осень/зима 2012...

Камни, минералы, кристаллы, пещеры, геометрические формы, пост-апокалиптичные нотки в музыке и атмосфере. В обзорах этой коллекции журналисты, блоггеры и другие представители прессы пишут, что в этом сезоне Карл Лагерфельд "взял их в путешествие к центру Земли".

Интересное совпадение - дипломная работа моего курса, в университете ESMOD Paris, представленная в июне 2011, была задана университетом и звучала как - "Путешествие к центру Земли". 

Это предсказания Майя на 2012 так на всех действуют?)

Very interesting theme selection in Chanel collection for Fall 2012...

Stones, minerals, crystals, graves, geometric shapes, post-apocalyptic feel in music and atmosphere. In the collection reviews journalists, bloggers and other press representatives write that this season Karl Lagerfeld "took them on a journey to the center of the Earth".

An interesting coincidence - the diploma work of my course in ESMOD Paris university, presented in June 2011, was imposed by a university and sounded like - "Journey to the center of the Earth".

Is that Maya predictions for 2012 affecting everyone?)
