Презентуя свои коллекции, дизайнер Elena Burenina каждый сезон приоткрывает для нас дверцу в свой внутренний мир, делится частичкой себя и своих переживаний. Философская подоплека - отличительная черта ее коллекций. Высшее мастерство суметь передать смысл лишь посредством одежды и аксессуаров, не использую театральный перфоманс вокруг. Одежда своеобразная: элементы деконструкции и необычного кроя преображают даже самые базовые вещи. Люди, которые привыкли смотреть на мир лишь под определенным углом, не поймут всей необычности коллекций этого бренда, другие же - проникнутся идеей и смогут продолжить начатую историю, комбинируя и сочетая одежду Elena Burenina в повседневной жизни.


Every season when fashion designer Elena Burenina presents her collections, she opens the door to her inner world, she shares with us a part of herself and her feelings. A philosophic background is a specific feature of her collections. The highest mastery is to pass the message by using clothes and accessories only, with no theatrical performance involved. The garments are peculiar: deconstruction elements and unusual cut make even the most basic items look different. People who are used to seeing the world around from a certain angle won't understand the extraordinary collections of this brand. At the same time, others will be inspired with an idea and will be delighted to continue the started story while combining and mixing the clothes by Elena Burenina in everyday life.

Сегодня мы поговорим о втором дне UFW, а именно о коллекциях Annette Görtz и Elena Burba. 

Annette Görtz - немецкий бренд, который в течении нескольких сезонов представляет свои коллекции на Украине. Коллекция осень/зима 2014-2015 построена вокруг асимметрии и экспериментов с материалами. Особого внимания заслуживает необычная имитация меха на неопреновой фактуре. Это большой шаг в сторону отказа от использования натурального меха. Тот, кто понимает откуда он берется, уже давно вычеркнул этот материал из своего гардероба. 

Today I'd like to speak about the second day of UFW, in particular about the collections by Annette Görtz and Elena Burba. 

Annette Görtz is a german brand, which presents its collections in Ukraine for a couple of seasons. Fall/winter 2014-2015 collection is built around asymmetry and experiments with materials. The unusual fur imitation on neoprene texture definitely deserves our attention. This is a huge step toward the refusal to use the natural fur. Everyone, who actually understands where the natural fur comes from, has deleted this material from the wardrobe a long time ago.

New discovery: Iryna Dil

В прошлом сезоне я посетила изумительный показ дизайнера Iryna Dil, который подарил ощущение настоящей сказки вокруг. Платья казались невесомыми, а вышивка по-настоящему заворожила. Для того, чтобы вспомнить какой-же была та коллекция, выкладываю фотографии и видео.

Last season I attended the amazing fashion show of Iryna Dil which made me feel like I was in a fairytale. The dresses seemed to be weightless and the embroidery was really impressive. I want you to remember this collection by checking the photos and videos below.

Я конечно не хочу никого обидеть, но не могу не отметить столь явное сходство недавнего показа Chanel в Париже и показа коллекции Jean Gritsfeldt в Киеве. Также, двоякое чувство вызвали головные уборы из перьев, которые сложно забыть после фееричного показа Louis Vuitton в прошлом сезоне. Хотя, возможно, речь идет о своеобразном пиар-ходе, ведь разговоры о плагиате лучше, чем вообще никаких разговоров...

I am not willing to offend anyone, but I must admit such an obvious resemblance of the recent Chanel fashion show in Paris and Jean Gritsfeldt fashion show in Kiev. The mixed feelings were also evoked by the feather head pieces, which were hard to forget after the breathtaking fashion show of Louis Vuitton last season. However, this might be some sort of PR-move, because the talks about plagiarism are better than no talks at all...

Ukraine inspired

В эту пятницу стартовала 34-ая Ukrainian fashion week. Я не ошиблась, когда сказала, что она будет отличаться от предыдущих. 

Политическая ситуация разительно повлияла на это мероприятие: изменились гости в первом ряду, практически все инсталляции вдохновлены Украиной, на пике популярности оказалось сочетание синего и желтого - цветов нашего национального флага, а слова "революция", "митинг" и "Путин" звучат чаще, чем привычные разговоры о моде. Быть патриотом стало модно.

Один из показов, который я посетила в первый день, был показ Valery Kovalska. Она презентовала коллекцию очень близкую к моему настроению с обилием кожаных изделий и хорошей музыкой. У этого дизайнера очень специфический стиль. Чтобы убедиться в этом, предлагаю посмотреть видео, выложенные ниже. 


This Friday the 34th Ukrainian fashion week started. I was not mistaken when I was saying it would be different. 
The political situation has influenced this event greatly. The front row guests are different, almost all the installations are Ukraine inspired, the combination of blue and yellow, the colors of our national Ukrainian flag, are on the top, and the words like "revolution", "meeting", "Putin" are heard more often than the habitual chatting about fashion. It has become fashionable to be a patriot.

One of the shows I attended on the first day was the show of Valery Kovalska who presented a very close to my mood collection with lots of leather garments and nice music. This designer follows a specific style in her creations. To convince you, I suggest you to take a look at the videos I posted below.

Расставив в очередной раз последние акценты в трендах следующего сезона, Парижская неделя моды завершила череду модных недель большой четверки. Это сплошное удовольствие пересматривать показы, когда коллекции настолько разнообразны. Помимо различных фасонов, техник кроя, необычной фактуры и элементов, впечатляет еще и палитра цветов. Вот уж не ожидала увидеть у консервативных французов столь красочные образы для осенне-зимнего сезона. 
Жизнь слишком коротка, чтобы носить скучную одежду, но с такими коллекциями скучно точно не будет! :)

Having put all the last accents in the trends of the next season, Paris fashion week has closed the fashion weeks of the big four. It's an entire pleasure to watch the shows when collections are so diverse. Along with various styles, pattern cuts, unusual textures and elements, the color palette was also impressive. I was not expecting the conservative frenchmen to present such colorful looks, especially for the fall-winter season. Life is too short to wear boring clothes, but these collections won't let you get bored! :)

New season - new ideas: Part 1

В этот вторник в Париже стартовала неделя моды prét-à-porter. А это означает, что Нью-Йорк, Милан и Лондон уже показали свое виденье моды на сезон осень/зима 2014-2015. Просмотрев все представленные коллекции, я сделала подборку интересных идей, которые станут моим вдохновением на следующий сезон. Осталось только дождаться окончания парижской недели моды, ведь именно Парижу принадлежит право определить тренды нового сезона.

This Tuesday a prét-à-porter fashion week started in Paris. This means New-York, Milan and London have already shown their vision on fashion of the Fall 2014 season. Having reviewed all the presented collections, I've made a selection of interesting ideas that will be my inspiration for the next season. The only thing left is to wait until the Paris Fashion week is over, as this city holds the right to define the trends of the new season.

Вчера состоялось долгожданное открытие 33-й Украинской недели моды в Buddha-bar. 

Как известно, такие вечеринки во время не начинают, поэтому приехав с опозданием в пол часа, я застала вступительную речь организатора UFW Ирины Данилевской. 

Название вечеринки - INSECT WORLD PARTY, то есть Мир Насекомых. Сразу подчеркну, что необычное название более чем себя оправдало, так как практически все, что там происходило, в плане организованной программы, выходило за рамки обыденности. Дресс-код insect соблюли весьма условно и далеко не все. Лично я одела брошку с мухой:) 

Yesteday the long-expected opening of the 33rd Ukrainian fashion week took place in Buddha-bar. 
As everyone knows such parties never begin on time, that's why when I came 30 minutes late I caught the opening speech of the head of UFW Irina Danilevskaya. 

The unusual name of the party, INSECT WORLD PARTY, was more than justified, because almost everything happening around, meaning the organised program, was transcending the standard bounds. The dress-code insect was respected in a very provisional way. For example, I was wearing a fly pin.

UFW: New season coming soon

Пока я продолжаю делиться трендовыми новинками, а недели моды "большой четверки" подходят к концу, быстрыми темпами приближается наша Украинская неделя моды. В этом сезоне она пройдет с 9 по 13 октября, пять дней непрерывных показов, презентаций, инсталляций, образовательных программ и вечеринок.

С каждым разом Украинская неделя моды делает огромный шаг вперед, расширяя программу, увеличивая число авторитетных гостей и привлекая новых партнеров. На сегодняшний день это уникальное событие, которое набирает все большего размаха и масштаба.

While I continue to share with you the trendy novelties and the fashion weeks of the "big four" are nearly over, our own Ukrainian fashion week is approaching. This season it will be held from October 9th to October 13th. Five days of nonstop fashion shows, presentations, installations, educational programs and parties.

Each time the Ukrainian fashion week makes a big step forward, while extending the program as well as the number of authoritative guests and involving the new partners. Nowadays this is a unique event, which continues to grow bigger.

Наконец-то обработаны фотографии и готова к публикации вторая часть фотоотчета со Всеукраинского конкурса модной одежды "Автограф", который состоялся 13 сентября, и в котором я принимала участие.

Как я уже писала в предыдущих постах конкурс разделен на три номинации: Fantasy, Neo и Neo-Pro. В первой номинации показывается только одна работа, которая ограничена исключительно фантазией дизайнера. Вторая номинация - это коллекция одежды студентов или недавних выпускников профильных вузов. Третья -  коллекция одежды от профессиональных дизайнеров.

Сегодняшний фотоотчет посвящен номинации Neo.

Finally the photos are ready and the second part of the photo-report from the Ukrainian fashion design competition "Autograph", which took place on September 13th and in which I was participating, is ready to be posted. 

As I wrote in the previous posts the contest is divided into three nominations: Fantasy, Neo and Neo-Pro. In the first nomination you have to show one costume that is limited only by designer's imagination. The second one is a collection of clothes created by students and recent graduates of special focus design institutions. The third one is the collection of garments created by professional designers.

Today's photo-report is devoted to Neo nomination.

Конкурс модной одежды "Автограф" / Fashion design competition "Autograph"

Ни для кого не секрет, что я люблю моду во всех ее проявлениях, для меня это искусство, способ выразить себя, свое виденье красоты мира. 

Помимо блога, я занимаюсь дизайном одежды. Это одно из профессиональных увлечений, которое заставляет забыть обо всем на свете и погрузиться в мир чистого творчества. Мне повезло в 2011 году с отличием окончить престижный французский университет моды и дизайна ESMOD Paris, в котором меня научили стирать границы и воплощать в жизнь свои самые невероятные фантазии и задумки.

13 сентября, я приняла учаcтие во Всеукраинском конкурсе модной одежды "Автограф". 


It's not a secret that I love fashion in all its diversity. For me fashion is an art, a way to express myself and my vision of beauty of the world.

Besides my blog, I also work in fashion design. It's one of my professional occupations that makes me forget about everything and allows to devote myself entirely to the world of pure creativity. I am lucky to have graduated with honors in 2011 from the prestigious french fashion design university ESMOD Paris, where I've learnt to erase the borders and to realize the most incredible fantasies and desires.

On September 13th I took part in the Ukrainian fashion design competition "Autograph".

Весь конкурс разделен на три номинации: Fantasy, Neo и Neo-Pro. В первой номинации показывается только одна работа, которая ограничена исключительно фантазией дизайнера. Вторая номинация - это коллекция одежды студентов или недавних выпускников профильных вузов. Третья -  коллекция одежды от профессиональных дизайнеров.

Я принимала участие в номинации Fantasy и показала работу под названием "Алиса в стране лилипутов".

I took part in Fantasy nomination and demonstrated the costume named "Alice in the land of lilliputians".

OBRANI: Эмпатия женственности или природный магнетизм / OBRANI: Empathy of feminity or natural magnetism

13 марта модный дом OBRANI представил украинским ценителям высокой моды показ своей коллекции осень-зима 2013-2014. Локацией для показа была выбрана недостроенная станция метро "Львівська Брама". Гостей ожидал настоящий сюрприз, так как место проведения не разглашалось вплоть до самой последней минуты, для большинства гостей сценарий мероприятия и сам по себе спуск в метро стал необычным приключением.

Атмосфера была создана на высочайшем уровне: музыка, коллекция, антураж, свет, сам подиум - все воплощало целостную идею.


On March 13 a fashion house OBRANI has presented to all the ukrainian admirers of high fashion the new fall/winter 2013-2014 collection. The location for the show was picked the unfinished metro station "L'vivs'ka Brama". A real surprise was prepared for the guests because the place was not disclosed till a very last minute and for the biggest part of the guests all the scenario of the event and the descent to a subway itself has become an extraordinary adventure.

The atmosphere was created at the highest level: the music, the collection, the entourage, the light and the catwalk itself -  everything personified an integral idea.

Примечательными деталями в коллекции стали пуговицы-магниты, которые были вшиты в одежду. Такой вид застежек в разы повышает практичность и легкость одевания вещей. Очень красивыми были также массивные молнии на платьях, пиджаках и ботфортах, которые благодаря талантливому сочетанию не утяжеляли и не перегружали вещи.


The remarkable details in the collection have become buttons-magnets that were sewn inside the clothes. Such kind of fastener very much increases the usability and the easiness of putting on the garments. Also the massive zippers on the dresses, jackets and jackboots were very beautiful. Thanks to a talented combination they were not making clothes look heavier and were not overcharging them.
