Конкурс модной одежды "Автограф" / Fashion design competition "Autograph"

Ни для кого не секрет, что я люблю моду во всех ее проявлениях, для меня это искусство, способ выразить себя, свое виденье красоты мира. 

Помимо блога, я занимаюсь дизайном одежды. Это одно из профессиональных увлечений, которое заставляет забыть обо всем на свете и погрузиться в мир чистого творчества. Мне повезло в 2011 году с отличием окончить престижный французский университет моды и дизайна ESMOD Paris, в котором меня научили стирать границы и воплощать в жизнь свои самые невероятные фантазии и задумки.

13 сентября, я приняла учаcтие во Всеукраинском конкурсе модной одежды "Автограф". 


It's not a secret that I love fashion in all its diversity. For me fashion is an art, a way to express myself and my vision of beauty of the world.

Besides my blog, I also work in fashion design. It's one of my professional occupations that makes me forget about everything and allows to devote myself entirely to the world of pure creativity. I am lucky to have graduated with honors in 2011 from the prestigious french fashion design university ESMOD Paris, where I've learnt to erase the borders and to realize the most incredible fantasies and desires.

On September 13th I took part in the Ukrainian fashion design competition "Autograph".

Весь конкурс разделен на три номинации: Fantasy, Neo и Neo-Pro. В первой номинации показывается только одна работа, которая ограничена исключительно фантазией дизайнера. Вторая номинация - это коллекция одежды студентов или недавних выпускников профильных вузов. Третья -  коллекция одежды от профессиональных дизайнеров.

Я принимала участие в номинации Fantasy и показала работу под названием "Алиса в стране лилипутов". 

All the contest is divided into three nominations: Fantasy, Neo and Neo-Pro. In the first nomination you have to show one costume that is limited only by designer's imagination. The second one is a collection of clothes created by students and recent graduates of special focus design institutions. The third one is the collection of garments created by professional designers.

I took part in Fantasy nomination and demonstrated the costume named "Alice in the land of lilliputians".

2) Экзотический мех яркого окраса и необычной фактуры / Colourful exotic fur with an extraordinary texture

Мех самых различных фактур и цветовых сочетаний - это достойный ответ угрюмым зимним холодам и депрессивному настроению. Яркие, в какой-то мере даже кричащие, цвета верхней меховой одежды не дадут холодам подпортить модницам жизнь. В этом сезоне можно смело одевать самые немыслимые изделия и при этом оставаться в тепле и в тренде. 

Fur with different textures and color matches is a good reply to cheerless winter coldness and depressive mood. Bright and in some way even garish colors of outerwear fur clothes, won't let cold spoil the life of fashionistas. This season you can freely put on the most inconceivable garments and stay warm and in trend.

 И конечно же я не устану напоминать откуда берется натуральный мех и сколько невинных животных должно умереть, чтобы создать одну единственную меховую жилеточку, поэтому агитирую всех модниц обратить свое внимание на искусственный мех. Современные технологии дошли до такого уровня, что в большинстве случаев нужно постараться и изрядно присмотреться, чтобы отличить искусственный материал от натурального. Да и красить, кроить и создавать различную фактуру дизайнерам намного проще из искусственного меха, а в этом сезоне, чем ярче и необычней, тем лучше. 

TREND REPORT Fall/Winter 2013-2014: Tweed / Твид

Сентябрь на дворе, поэтому, я считаю, настало время обсудить тренды нового сезона.

Проанализировав коллекции сезона осень-зима 2013-2014, я составила свой список актуальных трендов и тенденций, и судя по тому, что я вижу, сезон скучным не будет.

It's September outside, that's why I think the time has come to discuss the trends of the new season. 

Having analyzed the collections of fall/winter 2013-2014 season, I have made my list of current trends and tendencies. According to what I see, the season is not going to be boring.

1) Твидовая ткань / Tweed fabric

FW 13/14: Dolce & Gabbana

Лично у меня, словосочетание твидовая ткань вызывает моментальную ассоциацию с домом Chanel. На определенном этапе жизни в душу Великой Мадемуазель запал данный материал. Непринужденные костюмы от Chanel не утратили своей популярности и сегодня, так как являются олицетворением элегантности и отменного вкуса.

В этом сезоне дизайнеры предлагают нам свои вариации костюмов и нарядов с использованием твидовой ткани в соответствии с концепцией и стилем своих брендов. Что это нам дает? У нас появилось больше возможностей выбрать идеальное для себя сочетание. 

To me, words tweed fabric are associated with Chanel house. During a certain period of life of "Grande Mademoiselle" tweed has produced a strong impression on her. Free and easy Chanel costumes haven't lost their popularity even today, as they are considered to be a personification of elegance and excellent taste. 

This season designers suggest us different variations of suits and outfits made of tweed fabric according to the concepts and styles of their brands. What does it give to us? We now have more opportunities to pick an ideal combination for ourselves.

Первоначально, ткань называлась твил (англ. twill). Откуда появилось название твид? На этот счет в истории есть две версии.

Недавно, я наткнулась на любопытное видео. Фанатов бренда T by Alexander Wang пригласили на закрытое мероприятие, неразглашая ничего, кроме времени и места. 

"Когда откроется дверь, вы получите доступ к коллекции T by Alexander Wang. Женская одежда, мужская, кое-что из старого, кое-что из нового, кое-что из классики. И, между прочим, все это бесплатно. Возьмите столько, сколько сможете унести. " - сказал дизайнер толпе из своего видео-обращения. 

А дальше началось настоящее сумасшествие...


Recently, I ran into a curious video. The fans of the brand T by Alexander Wang were invited to an "undisclosed one-time only" event.  They were told nothing but time and place.

"When the door opens you're going to have access to the T by Alexander Wang collection. There's stuff for girls, stuff for guys, some older stuff, some new stuff, some classics. And by the way, everything is free. Take as much as you physically can." - said the designer to the crowd from his projected video message.

And then a real madness started...

На вершине дизайнерского искусства / On the top of a fashion design

Что для вас значит Haute Couture? Для меня это момент, когда невероятный полет фантазии соединяется с непревзойденным дизайнерским мастерством. Одевая наряд Haute Couture чувствуешь, что выходишь за рамки обыденности и наслаждаешься красотой одетого на тебя произведения искусства.

В этом посте я собрала подборку нарядов и фотографий с минувшей недели Haute Couture в Париже, которая прошла с 30 июня по 5 июля и продемонстрировала коллекции сезона осень/зима 2013-2014.

What is Haute Couture for you? For me it's the moment when an incredible flight of imagination unites with an inimitable designer's craftsmanship. When you put on an Haute Couture outfit you feel that you are pushing the envelope and simply enjoy the beauty of a masterpiece you are wearing. 

In this post I've gathered a selection of outfits and photos from the past Haute Couture fashion week in Paris that took place from June 30th to July 5th and has demonstrated the collections of fall/winter 2013-2014 season.

Odessa Holiday Fashion WeekEnd: Day 2

Во второй день моего пребывания в Одессе я присоединилась к моим друзьям на сальса-фестивале "Одесса-Бум 7", который как раз проходил в это время. Мягко говоря, впечатление осталось не очень. Я ожидала чего-то масштабней, простой зритель не отличил бы данный фестиваль от анимации возле отеля где-нибудь, например, в Египте. Если бы не моя дружная и веселая компания, я бы вообще не знала что я там делаю.

Вечером, как и планировалось, я посетила показы на Odessa Holiday Fashion Week. Мне было очень интересно посмотреть на совместный показ Black & White summer looks дизайнеров PODOLYAN, VOROZHBYT & ZEMSKOVA, Elena BURBA и KamenskaKononova. Монохромные сочетания - моя слабость. Кстати, в тот день я тоже была в черно-белом. :)

On the next day of my stay in Odessa I joined my friends at the salsa-festival "Odessa Boom 7", which was taking place there during that time. To put it mildly, the impression was not as good as I expected. I was waiting for something bigger. The ordinary spectator wouldn't distinguish that festival from the animation near the hotel somewhere, for example, in Egypt. If there was no my friendly and funny company I wouldn't know what I was doing there.

In the evening, according to my plan, I attended the fashion shows at Odessa Holiday Fashion Week. I was curious to see the joint fashion show Black & White summer looks of PODOLYAN, VOROZHBYT & ZEMSKOVA, Elena BURBA и KamenskaKononova designers. The monochrome looks are my weakness. By the way, that day I was wearing black and white too. :)

Odessa Holiday Fashion WeekEnd: Day 1

Прошлые выходные были необычными прежде всего потому, что я провела их в Одессе. 

Приехав 28 июня, первым делом я отправилась в пляжный комплекс Ibiza. Возможно, это прозвучит чересчур громко, но я скажу, что одна из причин поехать в Одессу - посетить этот комплекс, это действительно того стоит.

Сразу после пляжа, я поехала в торговый центр Luxury Gallery "Сады Победы" на показы Odessa Holiday Fashion week. 

Ошибиться где же именно проходят показы было практически невозможно, так как у входа в торговый центр толпились дорогие машины и нарядно одетые люди, особо бросались в глаза вечерние платья в пол и очень высокие каблуки. Однозначно, я пришла по адресу. 


My last weekend was unusual first of all because I've spent it in Odessa.

When I came there on June 28th the first thing I did was visit the beach resort Ibiza. It might sound too pretentious but I'd say that one of the reasons to come to Odessa is to visit this resort, it's really worth it.

After the beach I went to the shopping mall Luxury Gallery "Sady Pobedy" to see the fashion shows at Odessa Holiday Fashion week.

It was almost impossible to get confused where exactly the shows were taking place because the entrance to the shopping mall was overcrowded with expensive cars and chicly dressed people. Most of all long evening gowns and very high heels were striking the eye. Which means I came to the right place.

Holiday fashion Weekend

С 27 по 29 июня в Одессе пройдет Holiday Fashion Week, а это значит, что есть еще один повод провести следующие выходные в Одессе. 

Помимо показов дизайнеров, фэшн-мероприятий и вечеринок, в рамках Holiday Fashion Week также пройдет конкурс молодых дизайнеров «Погляд у майбутнє». 29 июня 17 талантливых, предварительно отобранных, финалистов покажут нам свои работы. Конкурс «Погляд у майбутнє» является одним из наиболее авторитетных украинских конкурсов молодых дизайнеров одежды. Именно этот конкурс в свое время стал стартовой площадкой для уже известных украинских модельеров.

From June 17 to June 29 in Odessa the Holiday Fashion Week is going to take place which means that there is one more reason to spend your next weekend in Odessa.

Among the fashion shows, fashion-events and parties that are planned for Holiday Fashion Week a fashion-design contest "Look into the Future" will also be a part of program. On June 29 the 17 talented previously selected finalists will present us their works. The contest is considered to be one of the most authoritative ukrainian contests among young fashion designers. This contest was once a starting point for many now very well-known ukrainian designers.

«Голливуд и мода. В объятиях друг друга» / "Hollywood and fashion. In each other’s arms"

Сегодня речь пойдет о моноспектакле известнейшего историка моды и фэшн-эксперта Александра Васильева. Моноспектакль с нетривиальным названием  «Голливуд и мода. В объятиях друг друга» состоялся в конгресс-холле отеля "Президент" в среду, 12 июня. 

Узнав о мероприятии несколько месяцев назад и все еще находясь под впечатлением после его предыдущего выступления о Коко Шанель, я сразу же заказала билет. 

Today I am going to talk about the mono-performance of the well-known fashion historian and fashion expert Alexandre Vassiliev. The mono-performance with a nontrivial title "Hollywood and fashion. In each other’s arms" took place in a congress-hall of "President" hotel on Wednesday, June 12.

I first heard about the event few months ago and as I was still under impression after his previous performance about Coco Chanel I immediately ordered the ticket.

Запоминающимся событием апреля стал показ нового для меня дизайнера Elena Golets, который проходил в живописном месте, практически в самом центре Андреевского спуска. 

Всегда любила это место, поэтому прогулка до Arcane Art Gallery, где собственно и проходил показ, уже сама по себе стала отличным завершением рабочего дня и предвкушала приятные эмоции.

A memorable event of April has become a fashion show of a designer, that is new to me, Elena Golets. This fashion show took place at the picturesque area almost in the very heart of Andriyivskyy Descent. 

I have been always loving this place that's why the promenade to Arcane Art Gallery, where the show was actually held, became a wonderful completion of a working day and was anticipating good emotions.

Подходя к месту назначения, я стала замечать людей, которые явно направлялись туда же, куда и я, но никаких опознавательных знаков по указанному адресу не было. Обычный подъезд на улице Десятинной, ничего не говорило ни о локации показа, ни об, упомянутой выше, галерее. Поэтому, когда я, согласно приглашению, поднялась на нужный этаж и попала в офис под нужным номером, моим глазам неожиданно открылась прекрасная картинная галерея, с просто захватывающей дух смотровой площадкой на втором этаже, о существовании которой я даже не слышала. Так что, прожив в Киеве практически всю свою жизнь, этот город не перестает меня удивлять.

On my way to the destination point, I started noticing people that were for sure walking to the same place as I did, but there were no identification marks at the indicated address. A normal doorway on Desiatynna street, nothing seemed to look like a location for a fashion show or the gallery mentioned above. That's why when I, according to the invitation, came to the correct floor and found the office with a correct number, an amazing art gallery appeared unexpectedly in front of my eyes with a breathtaking observation platform on the second floor. I have never even heard about existence of such gallery. So, after having spent almost my entire life in Kyiv, this city doesn't stop surprising me.
