Новая коллекция Balenciaga, созданная талантливым дизайнером Александром Вонгом, который в данный момент возглавляет модный дом. Его инновационные способы трансформации истории бренда на современный лад дали по-настоящему свежее дыхание модному дому. Вопрос в том, как ему удается играть с трехмерными формами, тяжелыми молниями (по крайней мере, они выглядят тяжелыми), различными методами деконструкции и в то же сохранять женственность и элегантность в образах. Волшебным способом вещи остаются простыми и носибельными. Не могу дождаться, когда коллекция поступит в магазины. Она однозначно достойна внимания.


The new collection of Balenciaga created by a talented designer Alexander Wang, who's currently a head designer of this brand. His inventive methods of reworking the brand's history in a modern way have given a fresh breath to a famous fashion house. The question is how he manages to play with three-dimensional shapes, heavy (or at least they look like heavy ones) zippers, various deconstruction methods and at the same time to preserve femininity and elegance in the looks. The magic is that garments remain simple and wearable. Can't wait to see this collection in stores. It's definitely worth checking out.

В этот вторник в Париже стартовала неделя моды prét-à-porter. А это означает, что Нью-Йорк, Милан и Лондон уже показали свое виденье моды на сезон осень/зима 2014-2015. Просмотрев все представленные коллекции, я сделала подборку интересных идей, которые станут моим вдохновением на следующий сезон. Осталось только дождаться окончания парижской недели моды, ведь именно Парижу принадлежит право определить тренды нового сезона.

This Tuesday a prét-à-porter fashion week started in Paris. This means New-York, Milan and London have already shown their vision on fashion of the Fall 2014 season. Having reviewed all the presented collections, I've made a selection of interesting ideas that will be my inspiration for the next season. The only thing left is to wait until the Paris Fashion week is over, as this city holds the right to define the trends of the new season.

Ярко, молодежно, романтично и несколько инфантильно, а как бы вы описали новую коллекцию второй линии модного дома Valentino? Сразу захотелось в Disneyland :)
Total look в данном случае однозначно перебор, а вот одна подобная вещь в сочетании даже с самыми базовыми джинсами, придаст непринужденность образу и зарядит хорошим настроением.


Colourful, fresh, romantic and a bit infantile. And how would you describe the new collection of a second line of the fashion house Valentino? It makes me want to go to Disneyland :) 
Total look in this case is definitely a bad idea, but one suchlike garment in combination with even the most basic pair of jeans will be enough to make a free and easy look and to boost your mood.

Spring 2014 Couture

Красота, стиль, роскошь - слова, которые идеально описывают то, что происходит в Париже во время недели Haute Couture. В этот период Париж преображается: дизайнеры готовятся к показам, модели разрываются между кастингами и примерками, профессионалы мира моды стекаются со всех уголков мира. Особый сегмент публики - звездные гости, вип персоны, они же непосредственные клиенты модных домов, по сути, ради этих людей и создается весь этот праздник роскоши, они конечные потребители той красоты, которую создают именитые кутюрье. 

Spring 2014 Couture

Доступ на показы для обычной публики закрыт. Пригласительные, как правило, именные, а иногда количество гостей ограниченно настолько, что в очередь за заветным билетом становятся даже светские гости. Вот такой вот этот мир, красивый, притягательный и недоступный. Haute Couture - это произведения искусства, вершина достижений модной индустрии в области высокого качества и изысканности. 


Beauty, style, luxury are the best words to describe what happens in Paris during the week of Haute Couture. At this time Paris looks different: designers are preparing for the fashion shows, models are running from casting to fitting, all the fashion professionals from every corner of the Earth are coming to Paris. A very special segment of public are the star guests and VIP who are the clients of the fashion houses and basically for them only this celebration of luxury is organized. They are the final consumers of the beauty, that les grands couturiers create.

An access to the fashion shows is closed for public. In the most of times the invitations are nominal. And sometimes the guest list is limited in the way that even the vip guests are standing in a queue to get a desired ticket. This world is beautiful, attractive and at the same time unapproachable. Haute Couture is a work of art, a top achievement of the fashion industry in the field of highest quality and preciosity.

16) Ретро 40-е / Retro 40s

Не секрет, что дизайнеры регулярно заглядывают в модные архивы в поисках вдохновения. Они не упускают возможности трансформировать старую классику на современный лад. Не даром говорят: "Все новое - это хорошо забытое старое". В этом сезоне творческие личности обратились к образу 40-х годов XX века, когда мягкие плечи, глубокие декольте и силуэт «песочные часы» были на пике популярности. 

It's not a secret that fashion designers regularly look inside the fashion archives in search of inspiration. They don't miss an opportunity to transform old classics into the modern one. They say: "History repeats itself". This season creative individuals have turned their attention to the look of 40s when the soft shoulder lines, deep décolletés and the hourglass silhouette were on the top. 

FW 13-14: Prada, Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Louis Vuitton 

17) Гранж / Grunge

Небольшая порция стиля панк, рок, капля бунтарского настроения и мы получаем новый тренд - стиль гранж. Гранж появился в 80-х годах XX столетия, взяв за основу стремление молодых людей выразить свой протест общественным устоям. Протест, не простест, а выделиться из толпы точно получилось. Расслабленность и нарочитая небрежность – отличительная черта стиля гранж. Никаких запретов и границ, только внутренний комфорт. Одеться в этом стиле означает подчеркнуть свою индивидуальность и независимость от чужого мнения. 

Take a hint of punk, rock, add a drop of rebellious spirit and you will get the new trend - grunge style. Grunge first appeared in 80s. The roots of the style lay in the willing of young people to voice their protest against the social rules. The protest or not, they managed to stand out from the crowd. The relaxed deliberate carelessness is a particularity of the grunge style. No limits or borders, just an inner comfort. To dress in this style means expressing your own individuality and freedom from someone else's point of view.

На мой взгляд, сезон получился очень интересным с точки зрения разнообразия направлений модных тенденций. На наших глазах размывались привычные рамки и взгляды на базовые вещи, в моду вошли необычные материалы и нестандартная палитра цветов, мы наблюдали как женственность сочетается с откровенно мужскими деталями гардероба. 

Просторы для самовыражения с каждым сезоном становятся все шире, а я все больше утверждаюсь в мнении, что самое главное, среди всего этого калейдоскопа модных новинок, сформировать свой собственный стиль, оставаясь верной своему вкусу и отдавая предпочтение вещам, в которых чувствуешь себя комфортно, ведь в этом и кроется секрет подлинной женственности и красоты.

I consider this season to be very interesting first of all because of the diversity of the fashion trends. In front of us the ordinary frames were diluted as well as the opinions about the basic garments. The unusual materials and color pallets have become fashionable. We were observing how the femininity can mix with frankly male wardrobe details.
Every season you have more and more ways to express yourself, at the same time, with all this kaleidoscope of fashion novelties around, I strengthen in the opinion that the most important is to invent your own style, to remain faithful to your own taste and to give advantage to the clothes that make you feel comfortable. I think this is the secret of being truly feminine and beautiful.

UFW: Memories and Impressions

33-ей Украинской неделе моды я посвятила немало публикаций, но еще остались дизайнеры и показы, о которых я не успела рассказать. Это коллекции показов второго и третьего дня, а именно: показы брендов Zalevskiy, DS'Dress by Alonova, ElenaReva и Litkovskaya. Есть еще несколько, но о них в следующих публикациях.

Для меня самое интересное - анализировать и просматривать коллекции по прошествии времени, когда эмоции от показа уже улеглись, но воспоминания еще остались. В это время получается отобрать самое лучшее из того, что запомнилось, выделить будущие тренды, тенденции и ключевые вещи, не те о которых уже написали и еще не раз напишут модные журналы, а те, которые действительно захотят покупать и носить.

I have devoted to 33rd Ukrainian fashion week a lot of publications, but there are still some fashion designers and some fashion shows I haven't spoken about. I am talking about the fashions shows of the second and the third days: Zalevskiy, DS'Dress by Alonova, ElenaReva and Litkovskaya. There are some more left, but I'll mention them in my next posts.

The most interesting for me is to analyze and to review collections after some time passes, when emotions are settled down, but the memories still remain. At this time you can select the best from everything you remember, you can highlight the future trends, tendencies and the key garments, not those the fashion magazines have written and will write about a lot of times, but those people truly would like to buy and to wear.

Несмотря на революционные события и политическое напряжение в моей стране, я решила все-таки не прерывать публикации в моем блоге на длительный период. Тем более я придерживаюсь позиции, что люди в большей или меньшей мере нуждаются в прекрасном независимо от проблем и невзгод, даже государственного масштаба. 
Сегодня я хочу рассказать о двух интересных трендах, которые в некоторой мере объединяют моду прошлых лет и будущее. 

Despite all the revolutionary events and a political tension in my country, I have decided not to interrupt my blog posts for a long period. Furthermore, I stick to an opinion that people more or less are looking for beauty, no matter what problems occur, even on the national level.
Today I am going to tell you about two interesting trends that in some way serve as a bridge between fashion of the previous years and the future.

14) Воротнички / Collars

У меня воротнички в первую очередь ассоциируются со школьной формой, но в этом сезоне дизайнерам окончательно удалось возвести этот элемент гардероба в ранг стильного и модного аксессуара. 
Разновидностей форм и видов воротников в истории моды встречается необъятное множество. Этот элемент не раз использовали во всевозможных вариациях и интерпретациях. По сей день стилисты и модельеры экспериментируют с дизайном этого аксессуара. В нынешнем сезоне очень популярны классические белоснежные воротнички. Модные дизайнеры в один голос подтвердили этот факт в своих коллекциях. 

On the first place I associate collars with a school uniform, but this season fashion designers have finally managed to raise this garment to the rank of stylish and fashionable accessory. 
The history of fashion knows lots of various shapes and forms of collars. Despite the fact that this element has already been used in different variations and interpretations, stylists and fashion designers still continue experiments with its design. This season classic white collars are on the top. Fashion designers have independently proven this fact in their collections.

Последний месяц осени подходит к концу, но еще не время расслабляться и впадать в зимнюю спячку. Нынешний сезон богат любопытными трендами, которые способны оживить даже самый базовый наряд. 

The last month of autumn is about to end, but it's not the time to relax and to go into winter hibernation. This season is rich in curious trends that can revive even the most basic outfit.

12) Оттенки белого / Shades of white

Очень коварный белый цвет уже не первый сезон захватывает права на "total white look". В случае с белым цветом или его оттенками очень важно соблюдать правильные пропорции в наряде, комбинировать вещи необычного кроя и сочетать в наряде разные фактуры. Такие манипуляции позволят выглядеть по-настоящему шикарно и ни капельки не скучно.

It's not the first season that a very tricky white color captures the rights for a "total white look". If you touch the white color or its shades it's very important to preserve the right proportions, to combine garments with an unusual cut and to mix different textures in your outfit. Such manipulations will help you to look really chic and not boring at all.

UFW: Четкие линии и строгие силуэты / Sharp lines and strict silhouettes

UFW: Anna Bublik SS 2014

Еще один показ, который я посетила в рамках Украинской недели моды - показ дизайнера Anna Bublik. Этому дизайнеру удалось найти гармоничное сочетание нестандартных цветов. Четкие линии и графические треугольные формы создают общее настроение коллекции. В ней демонстрируется наглядная инструкция как создать весенне-летний веселый образ, не потеряв при этом элегантность и женственный стиль. Вместе с тем, огорчило обилие горизонтальных поперечных линий, которые, как известно, в жизни моментально прибавляет пару-тройку лишних килограммов. Достаточно их заменить вертикальными и получились бы образы, корректирующие силуэт и фигуру в целом. 

UFW: Anna Bublik SS 2014

One more fashion show that I attended during the Ukrainian fashion week - the show of the designer Anna Bublik. This designer has managed to find a well-balanced combination of unusual colors. Sharp lines and graphic triangular shapes create a general mood of the collection. This is a visual demonstration of how to create a spring-summer cheerful look without loosing the elegance and the feminine style. However, I was disappointed by the loads of horizontal transverse lines, as we know, such lines immediately add some unwanted kilos. It's enough to replace them with the vertical ones and we would get the outfits that correct the silhouette and the body shape as a whole.
